Kling 4.0 is now available on ImagineToVideo. Since October 26, 2026 you can pick it in our generator for text to video and image to video, with an optional end frame, at 720p or 1080p and up to 30 seconds in a single pass, with stereo audio generated alongside the picture. A 5-second 720p clip costs 35 credits, the same as Kling V3.
This post covers what Kling 4.0 is, what you can set on ImagineToVideo, what it costs, how it compares with the other models here, and what is not wired in yet. Upstream facts come from Kling's own announcements and fal's published API schema; on-site limits are the ones our generator enforces.

What You Can Set on ImagineToVideo
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Modes | Text to video; image to video from a start frame, with an optional end frame |
| Resolution | 720p (default) or 1080p |
| Length | 3 to 15 seconds, 20 seconds or 30 seconds (default 5) |
| Aspect ratio | 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 21:9 for text to video; image to video follows your start frame |
| Audio | Stereo audio generated with the video, always on |
| Shots | One prompt for the whole clip, or several shots with their own prompt and length through our API |
Each clip is a single generation. A 30-second clip is not stitched from shorter pieces, and the 21:9 ratio is new to the Kling line on this site.
fal's Kling 4.0 API offers more than we expose today. It documents a reference-to-video mode with up to 10 images, 5 videos and 7 subjects per task, referenced in the prompt as @Image1, @Video1 and @Element1, and a video-editing mode. Neither is on ImagineToVideo yet. Its resolution list stops at 1080p: the 4K and 10-bit HDR output Kling has announced is not available through the API.
Pricing
fal publishes Kling 4.0 at $0.157 per second of output at 720p and $0.235 at 1080p, audio included, and notes the rates can change. On ImagineToVideo that becomes credits:
| Length | 720p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|
| 3 seconds | 20 credits | 30 credits |
| 5 seconds | 35 credits | 50 credits |
| 10 seconds | 70 credits | 100 credits |
| 15 seconds | 110 credits | 160 credits |
| 20 seconds | 145 credits | 215 credits |
| 30 seconds | 215 credits | 320 credits |
The exact cost appears next to the Generate button before you start. Failed generations refund their credits. New accounts can start with the $0.99 Starter Pack: 30 credits, enough for one 3-second Kling 4.0 clip at 720p or 1080p. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
⚠️ Kling's own developer platform has announced Kling 4.0 API access but we have not found a published official rate card, so we do not quote one here.
How Kling 4.0 Compares with the Other Models Here
| Model | Length | Resolution | Reference inputs on this site | 5-second 720p clip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kling 4.0 | 3–15, 20 or 30s | 720p / 1080p | Start and end frame | 35 credits |
| Kling V3 | 3–15s | 720p / 1080p | Start and end frame | 35 credits |
| Kling V3 Omni | 3–15s | 720p / 1080p | Up to 7 reference images | 45 credits |
| Seedance 2.5 | 4–15, 20 or 30s | 480p / 720p | Up to 9 reference images and 9 reference videos | 100 credits |
| Wan 3.0 | 3–15, 20 or 30s | 480p / 720p / 1080p | Start and end frame | 20 credits |
| VEO 3.1 | 4, 6 or 8s | 720p / 1080p / 4K | Up to 3 reference images | 90 credits (1080p) |
A few practical rules:
- Pick Kling 4.0 when you want one continuous take longer than 15 seconds with stereo sound at 1080p, or a 21:9 frame.
- Pick Kling V3 Omni or Seedance 2.5 when consistency across a reference library matters more than length.
- Pick Wan 3.0 when budget matters most; it is the cheapest 30-second option on the site.
- Pick VEO 3.1 when you need 4K.
Our Kling 4.0 vs Seedance 2.5 page puts the two 30-second models side by side on six axes.
How to Use Kling 4.0 on ImagineToVideo
- Open Kling 4.0 text to video or Kling 4.0 image to video. Kling 4.0 is also in the model menu on every generator page and on the home page.
- For image to video, upload a start frame and, if you want to control where the shot lands, an end frame. The clip keeps your start frame's aspect ratio.
- Write the prompt as a scene: what is in frame, how the camera moves, and any spoken line in quotes. Kling 4.0 generates dialogue, effects and ambience from the same prompt.
- Set resolution and length. The credit cost updates as you change them. Click Generate.
Longer clips take longer to render. In our tests a 5-second clip took about four minutes and a 30-second 1080p clip about eight; the generator shows progress and the clip appears in your history when it is done.
What Is Not Wired In Yet
- Reference-to-video. fal's API takes up to 15 references per task. We plan to expose it as a second phase; until then Kling V3 Omni and Seedance 2.5 cover reference-driven work.
- Video editing. fal lists a Kling 4.0 video-editing endpoint. Not on the site.
- 4K and 10-bit HDR. Announced by Kling; not offered by the API today. VEO 3.1 is the 4K option here.
- Multi-scene in the generator UI. Kling 4.0 accepts per-shot prompts through our API; the multi-scene page in the generator still uses Kling V3 Omni, which also supports reference images.
FAQ
Is Kling 4.0 available on ImagineToVideo? Yes. Kling 4.0 has been live on ImagineToVideo since October 26, 2026, for text to video and image to video with an optional end frame, at 720p or 1080p and 3 to 30 seconds, with stereo audio.
How much does Kling 4.0 cost on ImagineToVideo? A 3-second 720p clip costs 20 credits, 5 seconds at 720p 35 credits, 5 seconds at 1080p 50 credits and a full 30 seconds at 1080p 320 credits. fal's underlying rate is $0.157 per second at 720p and $0.235 at 1080p.

Can I upload reference images to Kling 4.0 here? Not yet. On ImagineToVideo Kling 4.0 takes a start frame and an optional end frame. fal's API also documents a reference-to-video mode with up to 15 references, which we plan to add later. Kling V3 Omni and Seedance 2.5 take reference images today.
Does Kling 4.0 output 4K? Not through the API. Kling has announced 4K and 10-bit HDR for Kling 4.0, but fal's API offers 720p and 1080p, so those are the options on ImagineToVideo. VEO 3.1 is the 4K model on the site.
Try it now from the Kling 4.0 page, or go straight to Kling 4.0 text to video.
